Our highly skilled laser technicians would feel privileged to help you reach your aesthetic goals.

To get started, there are two options:

  1. Book a free consultation either in person or over the phone then fill out the laser consent form before your appointment.
  2. If you have had laser hair removal before, simply book an appointment and fill out our laser consent form before your appointment.

Our laser hair removal sessions are divided into small, medium, medium-large, and large areas. We also do full lower body or full upper body. Most of the areas we commonly do are listed on the price sheet. So you’re not sure about the area size to book, simply book according to your best estimate, but Packages are available and can be purchased at the time of service.

Does it hurt?

The discomfort is best described as a rubber band snapping on the skin. The most sensitive areas from hardest to easiest are Brazilian, lip, face, neck, bikini line, underarms, arms, belly and legs. Numbing cream is also an option.

How many sessions do I need?

It will be hard to determine how many sessions you might need until we actually see you in person. If you’re starting with more hair, it’ll take more sessions compared to those with less hair. As a general rule, we achieve 85% long-term reduction with 6 sessions and 95% long-term reduction with 8 sessions.

Most people do 8 to 10 sessions for the face and an average of 8 for most body areas. Sessions are spaced out between 4 weeks and 12 weeks or sometimes longer if many sessions have been completed. The ideal time to come in for the next session is 1-2 weeks after developing recurring growth in the treated area.

What do I do before the procedure?

Try to shave close before your appointment and take note of all of the areas that you would like to have done. The closer the shave, the more effective it is, and the less discomfort you will have.

Please avoid makeup, deodorant, topical creams or other topical products before laser since this can interfere with the procedure. If you forget, we can clean these off in the office before we start. If you wax or use hair creams, this will need to be stopped 3 weeks before your first laser session. It is OK to get a treatment before 3 weeks, simply remember only to shave from now on. You’re welcome to shave as much as you want between laser sessions.

Be sure to let us know a list of the medications you take so we can make sure they don’t make your skin photosensitive. Antibiotics will need to be stopped 1 week before laser hair removal. Also avoid any tanning, topical tan sprays or prolonged sun exposure. Up to 10 minutes of direct sunlight daily usually won’t affect the process.

Are there any side effects?

After each session, you will expect some redness for an hour up until as long as 2 to 3 days. Generally, half of the redness will be gone in 1 hour and the other half will take about a day to go away. Darker skin clients will occasionally see only temporary skin darkening.

Occasionally darkening or lightening of the skin might occur in the form of pigment changes about 5% of the time. Sun exposure plus laser treatments can increase the risk. Small skin bumps can occur for up to 3 days after the procedure. Try not to plan laser hair treatment the day before an important event like a big date or wedding.

Should I completely avoid the sun?

If you acquire a tan, please wait 2 weeks before your next session. If you have a sunburn, you will need to wait one month.

Be sure to wear 60 spf sunblock, hats, or clothing over the treated areas when possible. If you get even a mild tan, we won’t be able to increase the laser as much as desired to achieve the best results.

What happens after laser hair removal?

Would you like to know more about laser hair removal? After the follicles are damaged by the laser, the body will expel the hairs over the course of one to three weeks. Shaving can be done as much as desired between sessions.

Should I get electrolysis or laser hair removal done?

We often get asked whether you should do laser hair removal or electrolysis hair removal. For red, gray, light brown, or blonde hair, electrolysis is the only option. For hair darker than medium brown, either option will work. Laser hair removal is generally more practical for removing a lot of hair quickly. Laser is able to remove tens of thousands of hairs efficiently in a fairly short period of time.

Electrolysis is more permanent, but it is best used for lighter color hair and smaller amounts. Electrolysis is different in that it uses a probe to destroy each individual hair root. It is only practical if you have between a few hairs up to a few thousand hairs. It is more practical than laser if you have less hair to remove. Electrolysis also takes multiple sessions but the number of sessions needed are less predictable. Here is some more info about electrolysis.
